We are seeking a strategic and experienced Social Writer / Editor to direct and grow our social content team.
This role is an opportunity to join Manifest and drive the social development agenda. Building ‘best in class’ processes and practices, and helping our team deliver even more award-winning content for our clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Creating killer editorial strategies that align brilliantly with brand values, target audiences, and integrate seamlessly with our client’s wider creative goals.
- Leading content creation for all social campaigns, from brainstorming and concept development to final execution. You’re in the work, not just on it.
- Working closely with influencers and Manifest’s creative experts to deliver sharp and timely ideas with ‘earned’ potential.
- Establishing ‘best in class’ process, tools and measurement frameworks that will best serve the business and our ambitions.
- Drive and maintain the highest quality of social content. Ensuring we are always aligned on brand voice and style, and our approach makes the most of each platform opportunity.
- Being the Manifest evangelist on socials critical role in brand building. Spreading the word internally and externally - from pitches to events!
We are looking for:
- Experience: 9+ years of experience in editorial roles, with a focus on social, digital and brand storytelling. Your experience should be primarily within an agency setting and include business development and pitching. Multiple vertical experience is a must, as is your fluency in editorial strategy and defining the core messaging pillars and key beats that build the long tail of campaigns.
- Expert Knowledge of Social Channels and opportunities: Strong understanding of the UK social media landscape and trends across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.). Platform and key industry connections a great bonus if you have already. If not, a plan to build them!
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams, managing the creative process, and collaborating across departments to drive results. Be influential with clients and demonstrate commercial understanding to unlock new business opportunities.
- Creativity & Vision: A passion for storytelling and the ability to turn concepts into compelling campaigns. Strong conceptual and copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret analytics and adjust strategies based on data to optimize campaign performance.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Culturally Savvy: A keen understanding of cultural trends, regional nuances, and emerging topics in the UK and globally.
- Education: Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
